John Harington (1627-1700)

s. John, of Kelston, Somerset, arm. Lincoln Coll., matric. 21 Feb., 1639-40, aged 13; of Corston, and then of Kelston, M.P. Somerset 1654-5, 1656-8, Bath 1659, captain of a Somerset troop of horse for Oliver Cromwell; baptised at Kelston 19 May, 1627; buried there 16 April, 1700. See Foster’s Parliamentary Dictionary. He was the grandson of Sir John Harington (1561-1612) of Kelston, a godson of Queen Elizabeth I.
